Alpha Drones USA has agreed to buy 49 DJI Agras T20 drones from commercial drone distributor, Empire Drone. The Agras T20 will not become available in the United States until January 2021.
Previously Empire Drone already sold one DJI Agras T16 to Alpha Drones USA, bringing their entire fleet to 50 agricultural drones with this latest transaction.
“We are very excited about the DJI Agras T20 and the impact it will have on the Agricultural industry,” says Sean Falconer, co-owner of Empire Drone. “We believe our friends at Alpha Drones have made it clear that they’re excited about the Agras T20 as well.”
As the successor to the T16, the DJI Agras T20 has been improved in many important areas. The new drone can carry up to 20 liters of liquid and spray up to 12 hectares (roughly 30 acres) per hour. Apart from dispersing liquids, the spreading system on the T20 is also able to disperse seeds, fertilizers, and fish food.
The DJI Agras T20 is outfitted with an omnidirectional digital radar and has an IP67 rating, meaning that you can hose the drone down after each use.
“We’re grateful to DJI for naming us the Launch Customer for the Agras T20,” says Kelvin King, CEO of Alpha Drones USA. “This deal will fortify our fleet of spraying drones and lead to a new era of agricultural drone solutions for our customers.”
