DJI Mini 2 & Smart Controller now compatible – Firmware v.01.03.0000
With DJI's latest firmware update (v.01.03.0000) for the DJI Mini 2, the sub-250-gram drone is now compatible with the DJI Smart Controller. The update also addresses a bug in the automatic battery discharge.
DJI Mini 2 & Smart Controller now compatible
DJI Mini 2 owners will be glad to learn that they can now use the sub-250-gram drone with DJI's Smart Controller. A Firmware Update that was released overnight made this possible.
We first reported on this possibility in late October last year.
In order to use the Smart Controller with the DJI Mini 2, the Smart Controller must also be updated. A firmware update with the version number v01.01.0058 is also available for this.
Furthermore, the 50 MB firmware update also addresses a bug in the automatic battery discharge, which did not work properly if the battery was left in the drone or was in a charging station.
The firmware update also improved the gimbal FPV mode and general flight stability and reduces the frequency of messages for recalibrating the compass.
