Wingcopter’s new flagship aircraft, the Wingcopter 198, is an all-electric delivery drone intended for safe, dependable, quick, and bi-directional deliveries in a variety of application scenarios.

Because of its fixed-wing construction, the company’s unique tilt-rotor technology enables vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) as well as efficient forward flying over extended distances.

Wingcopter’s key value proposition is to assist its partners in increasing operational efficiency by pioneering triple drop technology, using smart and easily swappable batteries to maximize time in the air, and developing software that will allow a single pilot to fly and monitor up to ten drones at the same time.

Wingcopter’s innovation has already garnered considerable commercial momentum and inbound attention from world-class companies. As a result, the firm recently announced a collaboration with America’s biggest air medical service provider, Air Methods, to establish a drone-based medical delivery network for thousands of hospitals throughout the country.

Wingcopter works with ANA Holdings Inc., the parent company of Japan’s largest airline, All Nippon Airways, in Japan. ANA intends to establish a drone delivery network to assist enhance the quality of life in rural regions across the nation.

Wingcopter is supported by a diverse group of institutional investors, including Xplorer Capital of Silicon Valley. It is planning its Series B round based on significant market traction. Expa believes in Wingcopter’s development phase and continuing financing, although the company typically invests in earlier phases.

Along with its investment in Wingcopter, Expa is expanding its portfolio in Europe and aggressively seeking early-stage investment opportunities in transportation, logistics, advanced technology, fintech, and health and wellness.
