DJI Mavic 3 firmware and DJI Fly App updates unlock new features for latest DJI drone
Today, DJI released a new DJI Mavic 3 firmware and DJI Fly App update that bring us many of the missing features and functionalities of DJI's latest drone the Mavic 3. The update should help to alleviate many of the complaints drone pilots had after buying the unmanned aircraft.

The DJI Mavic 3 Firmware Update and DJI Fly App updates come as a big surprise today and bring us many of the features that were promised by DJI but not delivered on the launch date. Initially, the Chinese drone maker said that the updates would arrive in January 2022. However, the updates arrived today and will very likely help to boost DJI's holiday shopping sales.
The versions are the following:
- DJI Mavic 3 firmware update: v01.00.0400
- Remote Controller: v04.13.0400
- DJI Fly App iOS: v1.5.4
- DJI Fly App Android: v1.5.4
DJI Mavic 3 firmware update
This latest DJI Mavic 3 firmware update brings us the following features:
- Added FocusTrack, MasterShots, and Timelapse.
- Added RAW Only photo format.
- Reduced video recording noise for ProRes of Mavic 3 cine.
- Reduced occasional vibration of aircraft arms in some scenarios.
- Improved RTH performance.
- Improved obstacle avoidance performance.
- Improved hover stability.
- Fixed issue: some computers could not connect to aircraft via USB.
- Fixed issue: abnormal color appeared in some scenarios.
- Fixed some bugs for remote controller.
FocusTrack includes ActiveTrack 5.0, Spotlight, and Point of Interest.
However, some other features are still absent, such as the ability to take panorama photos and QuickShots. A pop-up message informs us that these features will be coming soon.
What's new in the DJI Fly App?
- MasterShots, Hyperlapse, and FocusTrack are now available on DJI Mavic 3 (update to latest aircraft firmware version to use these features).
- Added support to shoot in RAW format (only available on DJI Mavic 3).
- Added support to adjust EXP settings.
- Fixes certain issues and optimizes overall app quality.

DJI RC Pro updates
The DJI RC Pro now allows you to change the sensitivity of the control sticks which should help you to make the drone behavior more smoothly.
