Last week, DJI Enterprise held an in-person event in Elizabeth, NJ to allow the media to get a preview of a host of new products the world’s largest drone maker would be launching shortly.
Today, DJI Enterprise officially launches the:
- DJI Matrice 30 or M30
- DJI RC Plus remote controller
- DJI FlightHub 2
- DJI Dock Stores
- DJI Zenmuse H20N

The DJI Matrice 30 or M30
Ok – the easiest way to explain what the DJI M30 is about is this. Imagine that the Matrice 300 and the Mavic 3 had a baby… Exactly, the M30 is a foldable commercial-grade DJI drone that offers most is not all of the DJI M300 features in a foldable and portable package. Voila!
In its press release, DJI calls the Matrice 30 its new flagship DJI Enterprise drone. The foldable M30 uses DJI’s new DJI RC Plus remote controller and runs on an upgraded version of Pilot 2 software.
The new M30 integrates fully with the DJI FlightHub 2 fleet management software and the all-new DJI Dock for remote and unattended drone operations.
The DJI Matrice 30 comes in two versions
- DJI M30 with a 48 megapixel 1/2” CMOS sensor zoom camera with 5×~16× optical and 200× digital zoom, a 12 megapixel wide-angle camera, 8k photo 4K/30 fps video resolution, and a laser rangefinder which can give the precise coordinates of objects up to 1,200 meters away.
- DJI M30T which offers all of the above AND an additional 640×512 px radiometric thermal camera.
The DJI M30 has an IP55 rating which makes it suitable for use in inclement weather conditions and operates from -20° C to 50° C.
The DJI Matrice 30 comes with an improved FPV camera for the pilot, built-in redundancies and backup systems, three-propeller emergency landing, a Health Management System. The M30 also offers obstacle avoidance in six directions.
The DJI M30 features a four-antenna OcuSync 3 Enterprise video transmission signal and it supports LTE link backup2. The drone can be handed over to another pilot mid-flight for extended range operations.
With a new self-heating TB30 battery, the M30 has a flight time of 41 minutes. The drone has two batteries and they are hot-swappable, meaning you can land the drone and swap both batteries without ever having to turn off the unmanned aircraft. Its smart BS30 charging case allows quick battery charging from 20% to 90% in 30 minutes.
The Matrice 30 can be folded and put in a Pelican case or backpack. The aircraft weighs only 3.7 kilograms and has a new self-locking system and can be folded by just pressing a button.
The DJI Matrice 30 offers data protection and privacy to enterprise users.
- Offline updates enable future firmware updates to be completed entirely offline. Firmware packages can be downloaded from the DJI official website and saved to an external storage device such a microSD card, before being uploaded into the M30 and updated with DJI Pilot.
- Local Data Mode acts like “airplane mode” on a phone by completely disconnecting the DJI M30 from the internet, ensuring ALL data stays only in the drone.
- SD card AES encryption protects all the photos, videos, and flight logs that get stored on the microSD card by a security code and AES encryption.
The DJI RC Plus
The DJI RC Plus now becomes DJI’s flagship enterprise-grade remote controller. It features a 7-inch wide, hi-res screen that is very bright and easy to use. The remote controller had dedicated buttons that can be operated with gloves and is IP54 certified so it can be used in the rain.
The DJI RC Plus has six physical buttons below the control sticks next to the screen. They make piloting much easier, giving control of mission-critical functions, like switching between wide-angle, zoom, infrared, and FPV views, without having to take hands away from the control sticks.
The RC has 6 hours of screen-on time. It has an internal battery and a swappable external battery, preventing the interruption of a mission. The DJI RC Plus offers ports for microSD card, USB, HDMI, USB type C, and 4G connectivity (where offered), for customers needing transmission redundancy.
The DJI RC Plus naturally becomes the new DJI flagship Enterprise remote controller.
DJI FlightHub 2
The DJI FlightHub 2 is a corporate-level drone management software from DJI Enterprise. It has considerably improved over its predecessor, synchronizing and coordinating between ground teams at work, drones, payloads, pilots, and all the data they collect.
The DJI FlightHub 2 is now entirely cloud-based. It allows flight mission management and viewing not just from the RC of the pilot, but also from any device with a web browser, such as PCs, tablets, and even mobile devices.
The data collected by the drones and the pilots may now be viewed by everyone involved in the drone operation, from ground teams to nearby supervisors to executives at their desks.
Users can use the DJI FlightHub 2 to create maps, which may be used to respond quickly to changing circumstances.
- With a single touch, One-Tap Panorama Sync generates a 360° overview and uploads it to the cloud. Shared panoramas, as well as their origin points, are recorded on your mission’s 2.5D Base Map, allowing all team members to have rapid aerial awareness.
- The DJI M30 can automatically map an area of interest using Cloud Mapping, allowing for outstanding views during emergency response planning operations. The user’s map service provider will be overlaid onto these pictures using the DJI FlightHub 2. Once a map has been captured, it may be used as the foundation for a mission plan.
Live Annotations are supported by the DJI FlightHub 2, which allows users to create points, lines, or polygons on the map.
In a Search and Rescue operation, a pilot can identify the location of a missing person thanks to the DJI M30’s laser rangefinder. These coordinates will immediately sync via the DJI FlightHub 2 mission user interface, allowing for real-time updates on coordinates as well as rapid creation of rescue routes by the command center and team on the ground
All of these maps, models, and inspection data may be uploaded to the cloud using AWS, allowing you to access and manage them from any location.
DJI’s FlightHub 2 is a must-have program for organizing communication between the command room and the ground team, as well as managing real-time operations.
DJI Dock for the DJI Matrice 30
DJI Dock is a stationary, self-sufficient takeoff and landing station for the DJI M30 Series (Dock Version), allowing fully automated, preprogrammed flights. It extends the range of autonomous operations that may be watched and managed remotely.
After setup, the fully charged M30 drone can fly away from the DJI Dock via programmed automated missions set in FlightHub 2 anywhere within a 7 km radius.
Fast Rotation Operation – When the drone returns from its mission, it will charge automatically. After 25 minutes of inactivity, the drone’s battery can take off again thanks to the fast charging and temperature cooling systems.
Its modular, long-lasting design allows for continuous operations in all weather conditions. The DJI Dock was created to endure and require little attention and maintenance.
The DJI Dock is waterproof and dustproof, even when open, as it is rated for IP55. Even when the DJI Dock is open, its internal components are protected by IP67, allowing them to be waterproof and dustproof. The interior of the DJI Dock is maintained at a consistent temperature to ensure that M30 may be charged safely even with external temperatures ranging from -35 to 50 degrees Celsius.
Its connectivity can be expanded, thanks to a port for an external 4G dongle. In case of a power outage caused by a disaster, an internal battery will take over and keep the Dock operational, to make sure the M30 lands safely from its mission.
It’s quick and simple to set up and deploy: The DJI Dock is less than 90 kg and measures less than 1 square meter, so it may be carried by elevator; all it requires is to be placed on the ground, switched on, linked to a power source, and connected to the internet.
The DJI Dock has built-in antennas, a weather station, ultra-wide-angle surveillance cameras, and a D-RTK base station. The installation is quick and easy because to the integrated design.
The DJI Dock is also simple to set up and use. It may be done immediately on-site with the DJI RC Plus, which has complete control of the Dock and M30, as well as mission execution and scheduling, all through a smartphone or tablet.
The DJI Dock is ready for more stringent rules, allowing it to facilitate many operations that would benefit from automated flights, such as infrastructure inspection, site monitoring, and engineering supervision.
The DJI Dock is available to help you fly drones autonomously in areas where they are allowed to fly unattended or beyond the operator’s line of sight. With remote monitoring from another location through FlightHub 2, it’s ready to enable those operations in places where drones may be operated manually or automatically.
The Zenmuse H20N: A Starlight-Grade Hybrid Night Vision Sensor For The DJI M300 RTK
The Zenmuse H20N sensor, developed specifically for the DJI M300 RTK aircraft, is revealed alongside the new M30 Product line ecosystem.
The Zenmuse H20N is a hybrid sensor solution that combines a starlight-grade night vision camera, a hybrid zoom thermal imaging camera, and a laser rangefinder for the M300 RTK, providing an unrivaled perspective on nighttime drone operations.
The high-definition night vision camera with ultra-low-illumination ability can capture the environment clearly even in low light, establishing a new bar for search and rescue operations and other emergencies where quick identification is required.
It features starlight-grade night vision with low illumination to 0.0001 Lux, a 20x hybrid optical zoom, 640×512 resolution thermal imaging camera, 2x\8x optical zoom and a laser rangefinder with 1200m range.
Availability and purchasing information
The DJI M30 comes with the RC Plus remote controller, a set of batteries, and a charging box. The DJI M30 and the DJI Zenmuse H20N will be available for purchase through the DJI online store and DJI Enterprise dealers.
FlightHub 2 will have a free testing period for all users from today through October 31, 2022.
DJI Dock is currently being tested with selected users and will be available for purchase starting from Q4 2022.
