MAVIC 3 PRO | A GAME CHANGING NEW LENS

I got the opportunity to test the new Mavic 3 Pro in the field during my trip through Africa while working on my new passion project. I was using all three lenses back to back for two weeks in various scenarios and this new focal length changes more than you think, at least that was what I experienced. Roughly 60% of all my shots were done on the new Medium Tele Lens. Enjoy what Ryan, Serin, and I captured on our recent trip to Tanzania. Enjoy

DJI MAVIC 3 PRO – The Best just got BETTER!

In this Mavic 3 Pro review, I test DJI's first tri-lens flagship camera drone with multiple focal lengths. With 3 cameras, 24mm , 70mm and 166mm, this cutting edge drone for content creators is put through its paces.

26 Things to Know – DJI Mavic 3 Pro

DJI continues to evolve the Mavic 3, this time adding a new 70mm equivalent lens, giving the new Pro 3 camera options on one drone. The 4/3″ sensor gives you the best quality wide angle. The 70mm 1/1.3″ sensor allows you to get tighter to your subject, and the 166mm lens gives you insane range while maintaining a steady shot. Plus, you get all the DJI intelligent flight modes, waypoint flights, O3+ transmission, Focustrack for follow-me functions, quick shots and more.

DJI Mavic 3 Pro | All New Tri Camera

The DJI Mavic 3 Pro just launched and it's my new favourite drone. I've put the powerful Hasselblad camera to the test over the last three weeks to see how this drone compares to the DJI Mavic 3 Cine which I've used and loved since January 2021. The standout feature is the tri focal length cameras that compress landscapes and subjects with a clarity and precision unlike any other drone on the market.

DJI MAVIC 3 PRO – THE GIFT OF FLYING | Cinematic Video

The Gift of Flying – Cinematic Video shot on the brand new DJI Mavic 3 PRO Cine. The new DJI Mavic 3 PRO is the first drone to feature a Triple-Camera system, allowing me to get three different viewing angles from the same drone, without the need to change lenses or anything else, taking my creative process to a whole new level. The Main Camera is a 4/3 CMOS Hasselblad Camera with a newly added 10-bit D-Log M, and the updated Dual Tele-Lenses (3x -70mm + 7x -166mm) allows you to get really creative while shooting. All three camera systems shoot 4K60fps and on the *CINE version, all three of them can record videos in Apple ProRes on the integrated 1TB SSD. I think it's safe to say that this will be my new go-to drone, coming with me on all of my trips from now on!

Namibia 4K Aerial – DJI Mavic 3 Pro Footage

In the past 8 weeks I had the chance to take the new Mavic 3 Pro to Patagonia, Namibia and Scotland. Here a first sample of what the new flagship Mavic 3 is able to do. Especially the new 3x lens (70mm F2.8 Lens) is the real highlight of the new M3Pro. 50% of the footage shown in this video has been filmed with the new 70mm F2.8 – all filmed with 4K 60P. Especially for wildlife filmmaking this lens is brilliant as it does allow fantastic footage without disturbing the animals. Still filmmakers / drone pilots have to be very careful and cautious when approaching wildlife. The well-being of the animal must be more important than the will to produce good footage. Thank you very much DJI to let me be part of the testing team of this brilliant new Mavic.

Verdict from my side: I really love the Mavic 3 Pro's old 24mm and brand new 70mm lens which have been used in this film. The third lens, the 7x / 166mm lens still did not convince me in image quality compared to the 24mm and 70mm. But there is still a visible improvement of the new 166mm compared to the one used in the Mavic 3 / Mavic 3 Cine version.
