Zack Nelson arrested for flying Mavic 3 Pro in Germany, now prefers Mini 3 Pro

As an experienced drone pilot, Zack Nelson from the popular Youtube channel Jerry Rig Everything had his fair share of adventures and mishaps. One such incident, which led to Zack's arrest in , when he was flying the Pro, taught him the importance of adhering to drone regulations and inspired him to explore more compact, lightweight mini drones. That's when he discovered the DJI Mini 3 Pro, a DJI mini drone that weighs just 249 grams and offers unparalleled convenience and functionality with little if any compromise on quality.

The Benefits of the Compact, Lightweight DJI Mini 3 Pro

The Pro is a game-changer for aerial photography enthusiasts.

“With its small form factor, it takes up significantly less space in my bag, making it a more convenient travel companion,” Zack explains. “This drone has been my go-to for capturing footage in Kenya for our library project and borehole drilling operations.”

In many , drones weighing under 250 grams do not require registration and are less regulated. This makes the DJI Mini 3 Pro an attractive option for those looking to avoid regulatory hassles. However, it's crucial to keep in mind that each country has its own set of drone laws, so please be sure to check ahead of any planned international travel.

The Mini 3 Pro's Impressive Features and Capabilities

The DJI Mini 3 Pro boasts a range of impressive features, including 4K HDR video recording at 60 frames per second and a flight time of up to 34 minutes. It also offers forward and backward obstacle avoidance and active tracking capabilities, making it an incredibly versatile and user-friendly device.

Despite its compact size, this drone is surprisingly resilient. During one of Zack's filming sessions in Napa Valley, , the drone managed to withstand rain and capture aerial footage of the Hummer EV SUV traversing puddles. While it's not recommended to fly in such conditions, this experience showcased the Mini 3 Pro drone's impressive durability.

Additional Features and Versatility

One unique feature of the DJI Mini 3 Pro is its ability to film vertically, making it an excellent tool for creating content for platforms like TikTok and Instagram Reels. This versatility allows users to capture both horizontal and vertical shots without having to switch between devices.

When tested on a wide-open golf course in Oahu, the DJI Mini 3 Pro demonstrated its impressive speed, reaching up to 34 miles per hour in sport mode. This makes it a capable and powerful machine for capturing dynamic, high-speed action.

The DJI Mini 3 Pro: A Game-Changer for Drone Enthusiasts

In conclusion, Zack explains that the DJI Mini 3 Pro has become his favorite drone for capturing stunning aerial footage. Its compact size, lightweight design, and versatile features make it a must-have for drone enthusiasts looking to avoid regulatory complications and enjoy convenience without sacrificing quality.

  1. Bullshit. Zack has´nt been “arrested” but got contact with the police because he flew his copter in the mid of a city and over a main street ignoring Germany´s drone-rules. If i would do the same im Florida, i would be arrested quite shure…

      • Zack should have been better informed about the legal situation before his flight. That he had not been registered is only one thing. The other is, that it´s simply forbidden to fly over a street in a city center. And his statement, it would be allowed to fly with the smaller DJI Mini 3 Pro is wrong too. It´s not so easy to understand the (uniform!) regulations for drone flights we have in Europe.
