Prominent tech insider, Igor Bogdanov, widely recognized as Quadro_News, recently unveiled what appear to be leaked images of DJI’s latest creation: the Osmo Pocket 3. Notably, DJI seems poised to resurrect the ‘Osmo’ moniker, a name previously sidelined by the tech giant.

The images provide a tantalizing preview, with the most distinctive element being a sizable display on the gimbal-stabilized pocket camera’s handle. Some industry watchers believe this display design could be borrowed from the DJI Action 4, lending weight to the camera’s potential capabilities.

Further adding to the intrigue, there’s growing speculation that the Osmo Pocket 3 might inherit the camera and recording prowess of the DJI Mini 4 Pro. If this holds true, consumers can anticipate a notable upgrade in terms of video recording bitrate, frame rate, color fidelity, and resolution, compared to its predecessor. An illustrative comparison video, courtesy of the Pilot Institute, showcases the evident differences.

Interestingly, in mid-September, DroneNR’s tech aficionados unearthed references to the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 within the codebase of the DJI Mimo app. Marrying this discovery with the recent leaked photos, there’s mounting evidence pointing towards an imminent release of the Osmo Pocket 3—possibly as early as October, ensuring it hits the market well before the festive shopping frenzy.
