Latest Update for Inspire 3 Unveiled

DJI, a leading name in drone technology, has released a new firmware update for its Inspire 3 model. As of January 17, 2024, this update includes several key components aimed at enhancing the user experience and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Firmware Enhancements

The new firmware update includes:

  • Aircraft Firmware: v01.00.06.00
  • Remote Controller Firmware: v02.04.05.02
  • Intelligent Battery Firmware: v04.01.00.64
  • Charging Hub Firmware: v05.02.13.46
  • Zenmuse X9-8K Air Firmware: v01.00.23.00
  • DJI Pilot 2 App: v5.4.1.3
  • DJI Assistant 2 (DJI Inspire Series): v2.0.1

These updates can be applied through the DJI Assistant 2 or DJI Pilot 2 apps, providing a seamless upgrade process for users.

New Functionalities and Compliance in Firmware Update

A significant addition in this update is the support for civil uncrewed aircraft owners to register their drones using real names with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), adhering to the latest drone regulations in China. This move is in line with global trends towards greater accountability and safety in drone operations.

Moreover, when connected to the DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor, the firmware now allows users to control focus, aperture, and start/stop recording through the Right Hand Grip or DJI Three-Channel Follow Focus. This feature enhances the usability of the drone, especially for professional filmmakers and aerial photographers.

Important Update Notes

DJI advises that if the update fails, users should restart the aircraft, remote controller, and either the DJI Pilot 2 or DJI Assistant 2 apps before attempting the update again. This step ensures a smooth and successful installation of the new firmware.

A Step Forward in Drone Technology

The latest firmware update for the DJI Inspire 3 marks a significant advancement in drone technology, offering enhanced functionalities and regulatory compliance. This update reflects DJI’s commitment to innovation and its dedication to meeting the evolving needs of drone enthusiasts and professionals alike.
