Drones Lighting Up the Night Sky

This 9-minute show uses 800 drones to create stunning images and animations of over 30 classic Disney characters. We’re talking Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars. These drones paint the sky with characters up to 400 feet tall, sharing the magic and wonder of flight.

Highlights and Fun Facts

  • Original Soundtrack: The show features an original song recorded by a full orchestra.
  • Massive Death Star: At 213 feet tall, it towers over Spaceship Earth.
  • Big Ben: Hits 328 feet, surpassing the real Big Ben.
  • Up House: Reaches 321 feet, equal to 3.5 Up houses stacked.
  • Dumbo’s Flight: Flies up to 354 feet, the highest point in the show.
  • Wide Span: Covers 524 feet, about 2.5 monorail trains long.

Best Viewing Spots

For the best view, head to the West Side waterfront promenade between Cirque du Soleil and the Aerophile balloon. The main entrance to this area opens around 7:45 pm between Cirque du Soleil and House of Blues. There’s a secondary entrance near Starbucks and the balloon. Wheelchair accessible viewing is available in the Food Truck Park area.

Extra Visual Impact

The show isn’t just drones. It creatively uses floodlights and spotlights for added visual effects. Plus, if you’ve got the new MagicBand+ wearables, they light up and vibrate in sync with the show.

Audience Reactions

Audiences are loving it. The cutting-edge drone technology, beloved characters, original music, and impressive scale make it a must-see this summer at Disney Springs. Plan ahead for potentially large crowds and get there early to grab a good spot along the waterfront.
