DJI MINI 5 Pro Launch Imminent. ‘Pro in Mini’ set on September 16th
Trustworthy sources promised us the DJI Mini 5 pro is set in stone for September 16th. Other (public leaked websites) showed us many pictures and that the drone will be available in store on the September 17th. Anyhow, this tells us we could be seeing the DJI Mini 5 teaser as soon as tomorrow! Last but not least I found the retail price of cheapest Mini 5 and some nice close up pictures I would like to show you today:
01: DJI Mini 5 Marketing Image
With the new drone slogan ‘Pro in Mini’ DJI apparently forgot this isn’t their first mini drone with the ‘Pro’ name. After close inspection for AI this picture seems legit and will probably show up on the homescreen of DJI or in the DJI store.
02: DJI Mini 5 Side views
Although the Mini 5 Specifications and Promo descriptions haven’t leaked yet, we were able to find some beautiful DJI Mini 5 close ups in the last few days. We are not sure if we see any lights inside the arms of the drone. But at least we can spot the return of the led light above the camera. Are these absent lights because of weight measures? We can only speculate at this moment.
03: DJI Mini 5 front views
By now we all know the one and only real feature of this drone: the 1-inch sensor on a sub 250 gram drone. The E24 F1.8 will bring joy to many and the LiDAR will do everything it can to protect that large gimbal and precious sensor. The motors are decently covered from dust and rain, and you will be easily swapping out propellors by a simple click and twist.
04: DJI Mini 5 Fly More Combo’s
Fun fact: All DJI Mini 5 Fly more combo’s will contain the new ‘ND filters and as we knew since August 26, the ‘normal’ Fly More Combo with the RC2 will start at 1129 Euro, in Europe. (The Mini 5 probably won’t be available in the United States, but keep your eyes open and please let me know if they show up anywhere!)
Price of the DJI Mini 5 will start at 799.
Just this morning I found a listing of the Mini 5 Pro with only a RC-N3 (screenless) remote and the European retail price said 799 Euro. This probably will be the worldwide dollar price as well and I am pretty certain this will be the exact price you will pay in most European countries to get this new drone. So if you already own a RC2 remote, this might be the cheapest option, and… if the rumors are true. You also might be able to use your Mini 3 and Mini 4 batteries in your Mini 5. Wouldn’t that be awesome? I can only hope this will be confirmed in the coming specification leaks.
That’s all I can show you for now, have a great week and I’ll talk to you soon on this, the Osmo Nano and new Avata 3 rumors. Cheers! – Jasper
