DJI Mini 3 Black Friday Deal: 20% Off The Social Media Drone
The DJI Mini 3 has dropped to its lowest price ever on Amazon’s Black Friday sale, with all three configurations now 20% off and in stock with free Prime delivery by Wednesday.
With the December 23 FCC deadline now just 29 days away, this deal represents one of the last opportunities to grab a capable DJI camera drone at a steep discount.
Three Ways To Save On The DJI Mini 3
Amazon has slashed prices across the entire Mini 3 lineup. All three options show In Stock with FREE Delivery Wednesday for Prime members.
DJI Mini 3 (Base Model) – $335
Save $84 (20% off) – Was $419
The entry-level package pairs the Mini 3 drone with the RC-N1 controller. This setup requires your smartphone for the live video feed. You mount your phone in the controller, connect via cable, and use the DJI Fly app as your display.
Best for pilots who already own a bright smartphone and want maximum savings. The drone itself is identical across all three bundles.

DJI Mini 3 (DJI RC) – $439
Save $110 (20% off) – Was $549
This is the sweet spot. The DJI RC controller features a built-in 5.5-inch HD display with the DJI Fly app pre-installed.
No phone mounting. No cable fumbling. No glare issues in direct sunlight.
The integrated screen delivers crisp video feed even under harsh outdoor lighting. Power up and fly. Amazon has tagged this configuration with the official Black Friday Deal badge.
Best for most pilots who want a premium flying experience without the phone-dependent workflow.

DJI Mini 3 Fly More Combo (DJI RC) – $575
Save $144 (20% off) – Was $719
The complete package for serious pilots. This bundle includes the DJI RC controller plus three Intelligent Flight Batteries for 114 minutes of total flight time.
The combo also packs a two-way charging hub, shoulder bag, and spare propellers. Everything you need for extended shooting sessions or multi-day adventures arrives in one box.
Best for content creators, travel photographers, and anyone planning frequent flights. Buying batteries separately later costs more than the $136 difference between this and the DJI RC bundle.

Why The Mini 3 Stands Out
The Mini 3 occupies a unique position in DJI’s lineup.
Its 1/1.3-inch sensor captures 4K HDR video with Dual Native ISO Fusion technology. That is the same sensor size found in the more expensive Mini 3 Pro, delivering impressive low-light performance and dynamic range for a sub-$500 drone.
True Vertical Shooting sets this drone apart from cheaper alternatives. The camera physically rotates 90 degrees to capture full-resolution vertical video without cropping.
Instagram Reels. TikTok. YouTube Shorts. The Mini 3 was built for social media workflows.
Flight time reaches 38 minutes on a single battery. Wind resistance handles gusts up to 38 kph (24 mph), which DJI rates as Level 5. Video transmission extends to 10 km (6.2 miles or 32,800 feet) using the O2 system.
The 3-axis mechanical gimbal keeps footage smooth even during aggressive maneuvers. GPS Return to Home, Precision Hovering, and Auto Takeoff/Landing provide safety nets for newer pilots.
What You Give Up
The Mini 3 is not the Mini 3 Pro.
DJI stripped the obstacle avoidance sensors to hit the lower price point. That means no Active Track, no Point of Interest, no APAS collision avoidance. The drone cannot fly autonomously because it cannot see obstacles.
“This drone, because it doesn’t have any of these sensors, it’s not able to fly on its own because it would likely crash almost immediately because it can’t see,” Billy Kyle explained in his review.
Video maxes out at 4K/30fps rather than the Pro’s 4K/60fps. The transmission system uses O2 instead of the faster O3.
For pilots who primarily shoot landscapes, real estate, or travel content, these trade-offs barely matter. The image quality remains excellent.
The 249-Gram Advantage
At exactly 249 grams, the Mini 3 stays under the FAA’s registration threshold for recreational pilots.
No FAA paperwork. No Remote ID requirements. No registration fees. Just unbox and fly.
This regulatory freedom makes the Mini 3 ideal for travelers, casual weekend pilots, and anyone who wants capable aerial footage without bureaucratic hassle.
The sub-250g weight also faces fewer restrictions in Canada, Europe, and other international markets.
Which Bundle Should You Buy?
Choose the $335 base model if: You own a bright smartphone, want maximum savings, and do not mind the phone-mounting workflow.
Choose the $439 DJI RC bundle if: You want the best flying experience without committing to extra batteries. The built-in screen transforms how you fly.
Choose the $575 Fly More Combo if: You plan to fly frequently, shoot multi-day projects, or want everything in one purchase. Three batteries and the charging hub pay for themselves quickly.
DroneXL’s Take
These Black Friday discounts arrive at an inflection point that makes timing genuinely important.
The December 23, 2025 FCC deadline looms over every DJI purchase decision. As we reported just yesterday, no federal agency has begun the security audit Congress mandated nearly a year ago. If that audit does not happen in the next 29 days, DJI automatically joins the FCC’s Covered List, blocking new drone imports.
The Mini 3 represents the last generation of DJI’s non-Pro mini drones that balances serious camera capability with accessible pricing. The newer Mini 4 Pro pushed north of $750, while the budget Mini 4K sacrificed sensor size and vertical shooting. The Mini 3 threads that needle.
We have documented the Mini 3’s strengths and limitations extensively since its December 2022 launch. The lack of obstacle avoidance remains the primary trade-off, but for pilots who maintain visual line of sight and fly carefully, the image quality punches well above its price class.
The $439 DJI RC bundle hits the sweet spot for most buyers. That built-in screen transforms the flying experience compared to the phone-dependent RC-N1. However, pilots planning frequent multi-day shoots should seriously consider the $575 Fly More Combo. Buying batteries separately later costs more than the $136 price difference.
Our broader Black Friday coverage includes deals on the Mini 4K, DJI Flip, Neo, and Skyrover models for pilots weighing different options. But for social media creators who need True Vertical Shooting and solid 4K HDR performance without spending Mini 4 Pro money, the Mini 3 at these prices is the obvious choice.
Stock availability has tightened significantly across major retailers as the December deadline approaches. All three configurations currently show In Stock on Amazon with free Wednesday delivery for Prime members. If you have been waiting for a sign to pull the trigger, this is it.
