Flying a DJI drone at 124 mph with DJI FPV System

On his Youtube channel, AndyRC posted this video in which he shows a drone built with parts from the DJI online store and the DJI FPV System that is able to fly at speeds of up to 124 mph. The only things that did not come from the DJI store, are the bi-blade propellers and the lipo battery.

AnydRC thinks that the bi-blade props helped the drone fly as fast as it did, even though the unmanned aircraft was weighed down by a relatively large battery. The aircraft weighs 373 grams without the battery.

He also notes in the video that the DJI FPV System performed remarkably well considering that it was not running at full power. It did not seem to be affected by the incredible speed of the drone at all, even though the video bit rate dropped to one. AndyRC used the high-quality mode with focus mode turned off, which is favorite setting.

You better make sure you have the reaction speed and skills to match the drone’s speed!
