The towns of Talent and Phoenix were almost completely destroyed when the Almeda Fire swept alongside Interstate 5 near Medford, Oregon, last week. The drone footage that was taken on September 14th, one week after the fire came through, shows eerily still neighborhoods. You can see the drone video here.

The drone footage shows burnt-down homes, blackened trees, and red fire retardent splashed over vehicles, homes, and playgrounds. Some houses have miraculously been spared by the fire whilst other structures have been flattened.

The Almeda Fire that caused the destruction shown in the drone footage has been 100 percent contained as of Tuesday morning, according to a Jackson County Emergency Management information page.

As a result of the wildfire, three people were killed, over 42,000 civilians were affected, and two firefighters were injured. Incident control was turned over to local fire authorities on Tuesday morning, reports NBC News.

The Almeda Fire burned 3,200 acres and destroyed or damaged around 600 homes and 100 commercial buildings. The cause is still under investigation.
