DJI Mavic Mini 2 is on its way according to FCC filing

Today, in an FCC filing we see new information on and confirmation of the ‘new’ DJI Mavic Mini 2 that is underway, as DroneXL.co exclusively reported here first.

Update: How does the Mini compare to other DJI drones on specs?

The FCC filing SS3-MT2PD2007 shows us the label with the battery information as well as a drawing that shows the DJI Mavic Mini 2 upside down. This time the label will be attached to the inside of the battery compartment door instead of inside the compartment itself as is the case with the original DJI Mavic Mini.

As we reported earlier DJI’s founder and CEO Frank Wang apparently hated the video quality of the original DJI Mavic Mini and we expect that to be the big difference in this new version of DJI’s lightest foldable drone.

OsitaLV tweeted the following:

“So this is so called Mavic Mini 2, they share the same design. Oh, it has Bluetooth, 2.4/5.8G WiFi and 2.4/5.8G without the WiFi sign. P.S. the model name of original Mavic mini is MT1SS5 and MT1SD25 (sales in Europe and Japan).

He also showed this image of a filing in India that seems to indicate a slightly more powerful battery for the new DJI Mavic Mini 2.
