Today, DJI released a new Mavic Air 2 firmware update that promises to bring improved hyperlapse functionality with cruise control as well as an optimized return-to-home performance.
Mavic Air 2 firmware update brings hyperlapse, return-to-home and more
A new Mavic Air 2 firmware update was released by DJI today. The latest version now being number 01.00.0511.
What’s new in firmware update V01.00.0511?
- Added cruise control for Free mode in Hyperlapse (Requires DJI Fly v1.2.2 or later for iOS version. Support for Android version will be added later). Exercise caution when using cruise control.
- Optimized RTH. if the aircraft is at a distance of 5 m to 50 m from the Home Point when RTH is initiated, the aircraft adjusts its orientation and flies to the Home Point at the current altitude.
- The DJI Fly v1.2.2 for Android version needs to be downloaded from dji.com
It is always good to see DJI continuing to improve their aircraft and the features that they offer us. We have not yet been able to try out the hyperlapse functionality with cruise control, but are planning to do so soon!
