Ken Stewart, former leader of a Drone Research division of General Electric, is named as CEO of the drone research center NUAIR at Griffiss International Airport in Rome, NY.

Before being named as the new CEO of the drone research center NUAIR, Northeast UAS Airspace Integration Research at Griffiss International Airport, Ken Stewart was the CEO of AiRXOS, part of GE Aviation.
NUAIR is an organizational partner of Syracuse-based CenterState CEO and manages the test site for Oneida County which owns the facility, reports the Rome Sentinel. The site is one of out seven Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) recognized drone test locations in the United States.
The research and drone test flights that take place at Griffiss International Airport is focused on commercializing unmanned aircraft by integrating them into the national airspace system and includes Remote ID test flights.
Before naming Ken Stewart as the new CEO, Tony Basile, NUAIR's chief operating officer, had been the interim CEO.
