The DJI Fly app update brought the new graphics to show the orientation of the drone you’re flying but also allows you to change the options that are available by single or double-tapping the function button on your remote controller.

Shawn from Air Photography explains the new options and how to change them in this short video.

For the DJI Mavic Air 2, the new options are in bold:

  • Recenter Gimbal
  • Auxiliary LED
  • Toggle Map/Live View
  • Gimbal Follow / FPV Mode
  • Advanced Camera Settings
  • AE Lock/Unlock
  • Hyperlapse Cruise Control

For the DJI Mini 2, the new options are in bold:

  • Recenter Gimbal
  • Toggle Map/Live View
  • Gimbal Follow / FPV Mode
  • Advanced Camera Settings
  • AE Lock/Unlock

You can reprogram the function button by tapping the three dots in the DJI Fly app, going to control, and tap button customization.

The DJI Fly app was recently updated to version 1.2.2 and with this update, DJI Introduced some new enhancements for both the Mavic Air 2, DJI Mini 2, and the original Mavic Mini.
