The new DJI Mavic 3 will come with two different remotes depending on the combo that you pick. The standard Mavic 3 and the Mavic 3 Fly More Combo will come with the same remote that we already know from the DJI Air 2S. Only the Mavic 3 Cine Premium Combo will come with the new RC Pro, which is effectively the new DJI Smart Controller V2.0. The following images from Jasper Ellens will show this in more detail.
As we explained in this post the DJI Mavic 3 will come in three different flavors: the Mavic 3, the Mavic 3 Fly More Combo, and the Mavic 3 Cine Premium Combo. I have included an overview of all the differences between these three different packages below.
Only the newly introduced Mavic 3 Cine Premium Combo will come with what is basically the new DJI Smart Controller, now called the RC Pro.
As you can see in the graphics below, the RC Pro is basically the DJI Smart Controller V2.0. It comes with OcuSync 3.0, which is now called O3. This is DJI’s proprietary video transmission system that can transmit real-time HD video from the Mavic 3 camera up to a distance of almost 10 miles. Users can connect to the internet via Wi-Fi or with a 4G dongle. The Android operating system used on the RC Pro is packed with features such as Bluetooth and GNNS.
The built-in 5.5-inch screen with 1000 CD /m2 high brightness has a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The RC Pro is equipped with a wide range of quadcopter and gimbal/camera controls, as well as customizable buttons. The remote controller has a maximum running time of 3 hours.
The RC Pro from the Mavic 3 has foldable and adjustable antennas for easier packing and optimal connection to the drone. As expected the sticks can be removed to make it easier to travel with the device. The RC Pro will feature a microSD card slot, a USB-C port, and a mini HDMI port.
The Mavic 3 and the Mavic 3 Fly More Combo will come with the remote controller that we already know from the DJI Air 2S. See also the graphic below.
