As part of the Climate Games Challenge, Danny MacAskill took his bike to a wind turbine factory to perform a number of tricks that would match the percentage number indicating how much of the planet’s electricity is generated by renewable resources.
How much of the world’s energy comes from sustainable sources? I’m given free reign at a renewable energy factory to show you exactly how much in the best way I can – with some epic tricks! said Danny.
Danny performed 29 tricks on his bike as 29% of all the planet’s electricity is generated by renewable resources.
While the bike tricks Danny performs in the video are amazing, drone enthusiasts will especially appreciate the final, epic FPV drone shots where we see him ride his bike on a turbine blade hundreds of feet high in the air.
Danny’s goal in participating in the challenge is to create awareness among a younger audience and to bust the myth that renewables are small scale.
One of the most important events to increase awareness and fight climate change is the COP26 conference that is being held in Glasgow, UK, from October 31st to November 12th.
What is climate change?
Climate Change includes both human-induced global warming and its large-scale impacts on weather patterns. There have been previous periods of climate change, but the current changes are more rapid than any known events in Earth’s history, according to Wikipedia.
