DJI discounts DJI Mavic 3, FPV, Air 2, and Air 2s as new drones are anticipated

DJI discounts are rumored to start this month. The drone maker will discount the DJI Mavic 3, FPV, Air 2, and Air 2s. In a tweet, long-term DJI leaker OsitaLV said that the will run from April 9th through the 20th.

It seems that the world’s largest drone maker is cleaning house with the arrival of spring.

The DJI FPV, Air 2, and Air 2s are all drones that have been around for some time now, so seeing a discount on these products might not come as much of a surprise.

The DJI Mavic 3 however, was launched late last year. It would be unusual for DJI to discount a new product so soon.

Unless, of course, the DJI Mavic 3s (presumably without satellite problems) does indeed arrive later this year. In that case, it seems as if DJI is quickly getting rid of the current flagship drone to make room for its successor.

The above scenario would surely raise some eyebrows, but we have seen DJI do this before. Just think of the DJI Mavic Mini that was succeeded by the almost precisely one year later. the same happened with the DJI Air 2 which was quickly replaced by the .

According to OsitaLV, the DJI discounts will be as follows:

The DJI discounts will begin on April 9th and end on April 20th.

It’s uncertain whether the price reductions on the DJI drones will only apply to the or if other retailers will do the same.

Interestingly, the DJI Mini 2 is absent from the promotions list. With the arrival of the which is expected to hit the market in April, you would think that DJI would discount the DJI Mini 2 as well.

  1. Considering dumbed down basic level remote have considered Mavic 3 overpriced from the start.
For that price and position as top end “compact” drone remote should simply be better than something fit for Mini.
I mean there are cheap drones costing almost just one tenth of FMC bundle with telemetry display equipped remote.
So remote with smaller display like in Autel Evo would be in order.

Add late arrival of features, dumbed down app and GPS issues and wouldn’t be any wonder, if sales have been lagging behind target.
So far Mavic 3 simply has had major duality of awesome things and WTF things.
Lack of RC Pro bundle is one of those facepalms.

  2. Just a heads up, most of these deals are already live on DJI’s store, and have been for a few days, with the exception of the Air2S RC pro combo. The percentages are either right on or Brett’s close to those mentioned in the article. The deals are scheduled end on the 14th.
