DJI Air 2S discounted in China ahead of launch DJI Mini 3 Pro

In , the DJI Air 2S is discounted by 2,000 yuan ahead of the launch of the DJI Mini 3 Pro, which is expected to be sometime in May.

DJI Air 2S discounted by $310

The 2,000 yuan discount, which equals about $310 USD, is part of a Holiday that runs from April 23rd until May 9th.

This information was shared on Twitter by long-time DJI leaker DealsDrone. According to him, “it is impossible to release the Mini 3 before May 9.”

The DJI Air 2S holiday promotion is accompanied by a “spring-like” poster that shows the flowers, the drone, and the new DJI RC Pro. All in a sunny outdoor setting.

I’d feel sunny and happy too if, I could buy what is arguably the best value-for-money drone discounted by more than $300. But, alas, the promotion is strictly limited to China and we have received no information that a similar holiday promotion will take place here in the or in .

Will the DJI Mini 3 Pro compete with the DJI Air 2S?

It seems that DJI, as we have seen before, has no problem with cannibalizing its own product line. The DJI Air 2S promotion indicates that DJI assumes that the Pro will not only compete with the older (from $789), but also with the significantly more capable DJI Air 2S (from $999).

If this turns out to be true, then the DJI Mini 3 Pro (see the specs here) with its mini DJI RC with a built-in screen could well be the very best consumer drone you can get for around $1,000.

We’re very excited to see the DJI Mini 3 Pro hit the market. Hopefully, it will be sooner rather than later. What do you think about the DJI Mini 3 Pro? Will you be getting one? Let us know in the comments below.
