Drone delivery offers an unmatched speed, with the ability to deliver items in 30 minutes or less, and sometimes as quickly as 10 minutes. This service complements Walmart’s other speedy delivery methods like Express Delivery and Late-Night Delivery, providing customers with a range of convenient options.

Real-World Applications and Popular Demand

Walmart’s previous two years of drone delivery trials, involving over 20,000 safe deliveries, demonstrate a strong customer demand for this service. Customers have found drone delivery exceptionally useful for urgent needs, such as forgotten ingredients or over-the-counter medicines, as well as for convenience in fulfilling cravings or gathering supplies for home activities.

A Wide Array of Deliverables

The service isn’t limited to small items; drones can deliver several items at once, including fragile goods like eggs. Customers can order a diverse range of products, from baby wipes to birthday candles, through Wing and Zipline’s platforms, with a delivery radius extending up to 10 miles from participating stores.
