The DJI Mic 3 transmitter tips the scales at just 16 grams (0.56 ounces), making it discreet and easy to wear during drone shoots in varied environments. Creators can adjust the microphone angle using a detachable, rotating clip, which accommodates magnetic or clip-on attachments for flexible positioning. Windscreens come in five colors, allowing users to blend the device with clothing or surroundings without compromising audio.

This design supports on-the-go recharging via an all-in-one charging case that stores two transmitters and one receiver. The case even accommodates windscreens and magnetic clips intact, simplifying transitions between locations for drone pilots capturing multi-scene aerial content.

DJI equips the Mic 3 with adaptive gain control, a first for the series, offering two modes to handle volume fluctuations. A single charge powers the transmitter for up to eight hours and the receiver for 10 hours, with the charging case extending total runtime to 28 hours via 2.4 full charges. Quick charging yields two hours from five minutes, and a full charge takes 50 minutes. Power-saving modes, including auto-sleep and auto-off, conserve energy, ensuring drone pilots can focus on creation without frequent interruptions.

Seamless Integration Across Devices

Mic 3 connects directly to DJI’s OsmoAudio ecosystem, including Osmo 360, Osmo Action 5 Pro, Osmo Action 4, and Osmo Pocket 3, without a receiver—ideal for minimizing gear when combining with drones. For broader compatibility, it includes a locking 3.5mm TRS output, 3.5mm TRRS monitoring port, and USB-C port, plus Bluetooth smartphone linking.

Visitors can experience the Mic 3 at IFA in Germany from September 5-9, 2025, at DJI’s booth in Hall 20-149.

Available now from DJI’s store and partners, configurations include the DJI Mic 3 (2 TX + 1 RX + Charging Case) at €309 (approximately $360 USD) and the single transmitter-receiver kit at €199 (approximately $232 USD). Separate purchases cover the charging case, receiver, and transmitter.

Accessories encompass the DJI Mic Series Camera Adapter, multi-color windscreens, and mobile phone adapter, expanding options for drone-centric setups.
