Antigravity is adding a Flight Simulator to its A1 and running a global 15% discount from January 27 to February 9. The A1 isn’t just another FPV drone. It’s the first to capture 8K 360-degree video directly, with a built-in 360 camera that eliminates the need for external mounts or attachments.
- The Update: Antigravity’s new Flight Simulator lets pilots practice inside the Vision Goggles before flying for real. Available January 29.
- The Sale: 15% off all three A1 bundles (Standard, Explorer, Infinity) globally through February 9.
- The Expansion: The A1 is now available on Amazon, adding to its Best Buy presence after a strong CES showing.
The A1 Combines FPV Flight With Built-In 360 Capture
The Antigravity A1 is a unique machine. It flies like an FPV drone but records 360-degree footage natively, without bolting on a separate camera. The integrated 360 camera captures high-quality video directly, supports real-time data transmission, and lets pilots adjust shooting parameters on the fly.
This means you get the immersive flight experience of FPV with footage you can reframe later in post. No extra weight, no balance issues, no separate battery to manage.
The Flight Simulator Targets New Pilots
The Flight Simulator runs directly inside the A1’s Vision Goggles, creating a virtual environment that replicates the drone’s physics and handling. Antigravity designed it for first-time pilots who want to build muscle memory before risking the actual hardware.
The company says the simulator “faithfully replicates the A1’s physics,” allowing users to practice flight maneuvers and get comfortable with the controls. It also works as a training tool when weather grounds the real drone.
Pilots can access the Flight Simulator starting January 29 through a firmware update.
Antigravity Confirms FCC Compliance Amid Covered List Concerns
With the FCC’s “Covered List” restricting certain Chinese-made communications equipment, Antigravity has confirmed that all A1 models remain fully compliant. The company states that “import, distribution, sale, and operation of the A1 continue without restriction.”
This is a pointed message. While DJI faces ongoing legislative pressure, Antigravity (incubated by Insta360) is positioning the A1 as a premium alternative that won’t disappear from store shelves.
The A1 is now available at Best Buy, official channels, and Amazon in the US.
The 15% Sale Covers All Three Bundles
From January 27 through February 9, Antigravity is discounting:
- Standard Bundle – Base package
- Explorer Bundle – Mid-tier option
- Infinity Bundle – Full kit

DroneXL’s Take
The A1 fills a gap nobody else is addressing. FPV pilots who want 360 footage currently have to mount a GoPro Max or Insta360 to their quad and deal with the weight penalty. The A1 builds the 360 camera in from the start.
The flight simulator is smart positioning. FPV has a steep learning curve, and a $2,000+ drone is an expensive way to learn. Letting new pilots practice virtually before their first real flight should reduce the number of A1s that end up in trees.
With DJI’s US future still murky, Antigravity’s timing on this sale is calculated. Expect them to keep pushing the “available and compliant” angle through Q1.
