New leaked photo DJI FPV Drone remote controller. Possible CES 2021 release?

Earlier today, a new leaked photo of the DJI FPV Drone remote controller surfaced on Twitter showing the controller in much greater detail than we have seen before. Is the release of this new DJI drone scheduled for CES 2021? Possibly. Let’s take a look at the controller first.

New leaked photos of DJI FPV Drone. Possible CES 2021 release?

DJI FPV remote controller

The first photo that was leaked this morning by OsitaLV shows the remote controller of the .

In the middle of the device, you can clearly see the DJI logo and the words ‘display model’, indicating that this may not be a functioning controller.

On the top of the device, we see control sticks (not mounted), four LED battery indicator lights, a C1 button, a lanyard attachment, an on/off button, and at the top, we see what seems like a foldable antenna system. Looking at an earlier photo of the device shows the antenna in the unfolded position.

The remote controller is shown in a box and on the side flap we can see four graphics and the words Top Shell, Goggles Antenna, Goggles Headband, Cable.

Possible CES 2021 launch?

Based on the various photos we have seen and on unofficial information, we think there is a very good chance we might see DJI release the DJI FPV Drone during CES 2021, which runs from January 11-14. In the last few years, DJI has launched new drones by means of dedicated product launches, however during the pandemic that has changed. DJI released the DJI Mavic Air 2 and Mini 2 in an online-only fashion and we would not be surprised if the Chinese drone maker would do the same for the DJI FPV Drone. Timing the launch to coincide with CES 2021 would seem to make sense.

OsitaLV seems to think that the new DJI FPV Drone may not arrive until after the Chinese New Year on February 12th. What do you think about the DJI FPV Drone remote controller? Let us know in the comments below.
