DJI Avata 360 promotional pictures just leaked and they are promising!
Remember the pictures of the DJI Avata 3 from 6 months ago? We now know it wasn’t the. Avata 3… It was the DJI Avata 360 all along! While DJI was busy developing its DJI Osmo 360, they where also focused on their first 360 drone. Let’s have a closer ook at these new pictures that popped up today and see what we can learn from them.
The one 360 drone that can do it all
Multipurpose is the keyword here. The DJI Avata 360 will capture 360 8K video, probably with the same specs as the DJI Osmo 360, but can also be flown as ‘normal’ FPV drone. With the touch of a button the 360 camera turns to frontal view right side up and you will be able to fly it like any other DJI drone.
Safety first, LiDAR added
With 4 front sensors (Visual camera sensors and LiDAR), two side sensors have already been spotted on the sides and it’s not expected to also have rear sensors as well. (Just like the Avata 2) Therefor we can easily conclude the DJI Avata 360 will have omnidirectional sensing and advanced tracking capabilities for tracking cyclists and cars.
Ocysync 4.0 or possibly O4+ transmission
As we recognize the DJI Goggles N3 in the newly leaked picture with the woman, we can also see a man holding a DJI RC2 remote, this makes me believe the DJI Avata 360 will be another Ocusync 4.0 product. (Although I did hear a rumor they are working on a DJI Goggles 4.)
DJI Avata 360 price and release date?
I wouldn’t be surprised if the DJI Avata 360 will start with a drone only price of 1200 dollar / euro and they will try to release it before Christmas. DJI always watches the competition closely and I think Antigravity should be worried (for international sales at least)
That’s all for today, more soon. Cheers, Jasper
