Fullerton College Pioneers First West Coast Drone Bachelor’s Degree Program
A groundbreaking development in Drone Education is taking shape at Fullerton College, where the institution is set to launch its first-ever bachelor’s degree program. The Bachelor of Science in Drone and Autonomous Systems, scheduled to begin in fall 2026, marks a significant milestone as the first program of its kind on the West Coast.
The announcement came during a special campus event on December 3, 2024, complete with a fitting Drone Light Show demonstration. Program chair Jay Seidel, who has successfully led the college’s 无人机技术 initiatives, emphasized the transformative nature of the industry:

Current partnerships showcase the practical applications of the program, with students engaging in real-world projects such as monitoring marine life with the Pacific Marine Mammal Center and conducting research with Cal State Long Beach’s Shark Lab.
